Inside Out - Outside In | NuL College

Students on the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Newcastle-under-Lyme College will spend a day-long residency in The Minton Library, Stoke. Cheryl Smith (Artist & Curriculum Leader) will encourage the art students to explore and make new work on site inspired by 'The Canteen' (basement space) and its stunning array of historic Minton wall tiles made in the 1870s and recently rediscovered after being hidden under wallpaper for the last 50 years. This event forms part of a creative programme called 'Inside Out – Outside In’ which aims to focus on revealing hidden structures, surfaces and details of objects and environments. This event is not open to the public, however, if you are interested in dropping in to see what the students are doing - please get in touch to arrange a time to visit (hello@ceramiccitystories.org)
